Hello guys! I have received many questions regarding how to purchased data on Moniepoint POS machine from many agent in Nigeria. For me, I don’t believe there will be a POS device that will not have a “Buy Data” option among it services.
Until I experienced it myself. One day, Just yesterday, I want to a POS kiosk to top-up my betting account. In the process of getting my request done by the PoS agent, another customer came request for a purchase of data to his MTN line. The agent told the customer that he “cannot buy data from his Moniepoint POS” terminal.
I was surprised that this allegation is actually true. When I’m done with the funding my e-wallet, I asked the POS man that “why can’t you sell data to a customer through your terminal?”
Then he said;
The “Buy Data” feature is not available in the Moniepoint POS machine. He continued and said that “if an agent needs to sell data or buy data, he would have to perform the transaction on his Moniepoint Business Banking App.
He also emphasized that other POS terminals like OPAY and Fairmoney POS terminals does not work like that. He said agent can easily sell data to customers directly through the terminals.
In a nutshell, I now believe that Moniepoint agents cannot sell data to customers through their POS terminals because the “Buy Data” feature is not integrated into the POS system.
How to Buy Data on Moniepoint
The method is simple. If you need to sell data to your customers as a Moniepoint agent, all you need to do is login to your business account and simply use the “Buy Data” option to complete the transaction.
For individual user, you can simply login to your account via app or web to purchase data for your MTN, Airtel, GLO and 9Mobile Number.
