For second times in 2025, the Nigeria’s national grid has collapsed again, leaving some part of Nigeria in complete blockout. Based on corresponding data gathered from the Nigerian System Operator’s portal (NSO), the grid collapsed around 11:30 AM on Wednesday. However, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) is still breaking silence regarding the causes of the crash. Electricity companies including Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) have also confirmed the power disturbance. Similarly, a well-known Nigeria National Grid account on X, formerly Twitter also confirmed the situation today, Wednesday 12, 2025. “There was a problem with the power grid before noon today (Wednesday), causing power cuts in some parts of the country,” the account tweeted.
