Making calls

The pulse subscribers of MTN Nigeria will now face an increase call rate of N13.8 per minute which was previously N7.8 per minute. This latest call rate represents a 76.92% hike.

The MTN’s pulse call rate hike follows by the latest data plan increase which hiked up to 50%. All these price hikes follow the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) approval of a 50 percent tariff hike in the telecommunication industry.

In addition to the data plan and call rate hikes, MTN Nigeria has also increased SMS rate to N6 per message. The SMS rate was previously N4 per message.

The telecom company has also removed the option of the 15GB weekly MTN data following the NCC's tariff hike development.
